The Transitions Championship is a professional golf tournament for men on the PGA Tour and is awarded annually to the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in Palm Harbor, Florida. The tournament was founded in 2000 and Tampa Bay Classic. It was originally an alternate event played in the same week in the Presidents Cup in 2000 and in the same week at WGC-American Express Championship in 2002. It was actually played in the same week at WGC-American Express Championship 13th to 16 September 2001. However, the attacks forced on 11 September, the deletion of the two tournaments. The tournament record set by Vijay Singh in 2004 with a total of 266 -18 victory.
